Show the value of quality - measure it

Many leaders assume their people deliver good quality without measuring it.
One simple way to sell the value of quality is to ensure you are collecting data to measure the effectiveness of quality systems.

Common measures of quality include:

✔️ Profit and loss
✔️ Failure or reject rates
✔️ Level of returns
✔️ Customer complaints
✔️ Customer loyalty

There are so many more but if you are new to this, pick one measurement and do it consistently until you see patterns and trends. Then add in more measures.

Measuring systems and data collection can be as simple or complex as your business and your budget demands but the important thing is to measure the effectiveness of your quality systems so that everyone sees the values of quality.
