If you are a support team, HR, Procurement or Quality for example what's your function?
Are you clear about the scope of your function?
Do you have an elevator pitch?
When people ask what you do can you tell them?
Often working in quality can be hard to define and describe.
Knowing what you do is a necessity to stop scope creep in your team which when left unchecked can lead to a sense of overwhelm and 'busy'.
Scope creep is very common in quality teams so I urge you to really think about your elevator pitch.
- What is the role of your team?
- What are your responsibilities?
- What don't you do?

Communication
By supporting clear and effective communication. This is not the time to buy into emotional overwhelm, this is a time to buy into the organisation and step into a leadership role.
Now is the time to:
- Follow approved communications from the leadership team precisely
- Communicate facts calmly and don’t buy into speculation and hearsay
- Be visible and supportive
